Few
old friends, few new people and I
The next stop was Mawsmai Cave
Like
chain links kept free.
People
with new faces
Pleasantly
welcomed me at different places.
Long
distance were shortened by our talks,
Talks
in disguise were building blocks.
Had
about 3k stairs - each of height 4 inch.
At
the destination, our legs became wobbly
And our
empty stomachs started making noise slowly.
The
villagers were kind and good,
They
gave us food and we had it as if it were a loot.
Under
the bridge, the river was shallow
We
sat soaking our feet as the fish were kissing us hello.
We played with water like school kids
Chain links inched closer bit by bit.
We played with water like school kids
Chain links inched closer bit by bit.
The next stop was Mawsmai Cave
There
also we let the school kids behave.
A
head collision made a laughter spark.
Singing,
chatting, laughing we went back.
In
our hotel, we played cards back to back.
Next
day we were at the Bangladesh border,
Interacted
with and learnt stories from a soldier.
Both
sides had same soldiers in different uniform,
We
salute their love for the countries they are born.
Clear
water makes it a tourist spot.
We
took our boats
And
stopped by big river stones.
We
bathed, swam and then camped
Near
the river on the sand.
Bonfire,
cool breeze and rum
Oh!
Nothing was humdrum.
The
group had a comedian, a guitarist, a fast n furious driver, a shy guy,
A
poetess, two card lovers, a singer and I.
Once
I had a trip
Started
with strangers, ended with friends.
